Cruise :: Day 8 :: Behm Canal

Everyday we are getting involved with activities, most involving getting off the ship! Skiff rides, kayaking, paddleboarding and walks in the local forest etc. Wildlife continues to surround use still.

Although we are miles from anywhere we had an extra person on board last night. During the routine checks that are carried out every two hours it was found the third generator (only one is needed) had some sea water contamination. We only need one generator when at anchor but to be safe an engineer was flown in via floatplane to fix it.

It didn't take long and he stayed overnight. Here he is being ferried to the floatplane that took him out. I guess someone has to have a job like that....
