Fronds

I love finding sounds in the world around us. Once, on a walk with my son, we discovered a bunch of them strewn across our streets after some mighty windstorms. I kicked one, and it made a great sharp percussive sound, almost like a high pitched snare drum. So we picked up a few and dragged them home, and now they reside in my recording studio where I sometimes use them in my compositions.
