would you just look at that - kind of amazing actually in my mind - that a rose could sit in a vase - for several weeks now - virtually untouched by me - not watered or fed - not given light - really i had forgotten about it - i am ashamed to admit - yet it happens to all of us, doesn't it? - things get overlooked - we don't mean to - we have good intentions - it's simply life; other tasks take over - the flowers somehow get pushed aside - forgotten - and so what then? - well, the water evaporates into thin air - the blossoms dry out - but they don't lose their beauty

as rain has ruled the day again - i finally re-noticed the roses - in all their 'almost' original glory - ok, that might be a stretch - however i would challenge you to consider the shape - this flower is in - how it has held up over these weeks - despite my woeful behavior - it brings joy to the eye on this gloomy day - its yellow still fairly vibrant - now doesn't that just make for...
