Forest of Dean

We arrived in the Forest of Dean last night for a family camping trip to celebrate Mike's 40th, Deb's 30th and BG's 70th which all happen/happened this year. We've got quite a few new camping goodies, one of which is a new awning for Gerty as the other one was getting a bit tatty and they had a sale on. It took some time to get to grips with that (I left Mike to it and took the dogs for a walk as they had been stuck in the van for a couple of hours). The campsite is on the edge of the forest so you could literally walk a few metres and be out on miles of tracks, brilliant for the dogs (there were 7 in our party!). 

Today we all walked down to the river in the morning and found a lovely little cafe for tea and cakes, then back to the camp site for a lazy afternoon of eating and drinking.
