Behold a blooming rosemary plant!
Every spring I buy a few herb plants to use for cooking, and I just leave them in their pots and let them die in the fall. Last summer a nice young man offered to plant my rosemary and said it might even survive the winter.
I was doubtful, especially when it got so brown. But here it is in bloom!
