Along the Wayside

The mono Monday challenge - just stumbled upon this (not so young) hitchhiker on the side of the road just south of Timaru.  He was leaning on his bed roll - hopefully he would have picked up a ride to whatever his destination was to be.  (I think I was spotted, but was a distance away though, camera at 200mm)

We went off to town to search out a couple of cars to check their boots - why you may ask??  We are researching rental cars for our upcoming trip to Ireland and UK.  We are travelling with another couple for some of the time and need room for four cases (and a camera bag of course)..
Then called in on our old mates for a catch up and before we knew it was lunch time.  

I've been editing some of the weekend images (and a lot of deleting) this afternoon.

Thanks so much for your feedback over the last few days, I've really been a slacko with blip, there just doesn't seem to be enough time.  However, I do appreciate you calling in. :)
