Young grey wagtail
I’ve been watching with interest, and photographing, a pair of grey wagtails at the lily pond in Priory Park for the last few days. They have been collecting food and carrying it off to a nearby nest. Today there were THREE birds, and one was a young one - duller colour, shorter tail, soft edges to the beak and being fed by the adults. I enjoyed watching it for quite a while - a real treat! A pity I only had the equivalent of a 200mm lens though (unlike the equivalent of 810mm yesterday).
