Roma Resistance

Today was a planned demonstration, to coincide with Romani Resistance day, and to make a stand against the injustices the guys in Sa Penya are facing.
It was a complete & utter honour to be asked to be part of it & to take photos. It was moving to hear the kids singing resistance songs...& it was hopeful to see Asha playing with the Roma kids...praying for a better future for the Roma/non-Roma of Asha's generation.
Asha was waving her Roma flag 'so people know what is happening'...she sang her own made up songs all the way home, about the situation these guys are in...quite profound & emotional actually...

For those of you who know the name, Chani is the guy on the right...

Today I'm grateful for;
1) Being part of this momentous time in this groups history.
2) Seeing a Roma woman I've not seen for ages.
3) Asha getting passionate about injustice, & the fact her friend has no home.
