whizzed home from work...eve whizzed home from school, then we raced over to inverurie to catch the train to edinburgh. when we got there we went up to st. giles cathedral on the royal mile to find loads of folk crowded outside and policemen standing guard. g - who was in parliament hall behind the cathedral - came out to get us but we had to wait for prince charlie to leave first. he didn't stop for the crowds.

we caught the tail end of the reception after the church service which was full of well kent faces...so weird seeing them in the flesh. I met andy wightman who was nice, him and dad had been gassing at length apparently!

then on to the hotel for some food and bed. early start in the morning.
