Wedding

Today we went to the wedding of the son of our closest Yezidi refugee friends. It was the definition of "wedding on a shoestring". We talked about what weddings used to be like back before they had to flee and I felt sad for them but they were so typically and wonderfully cheerful you couldn't stay sad for long.

The bride and groom actually had to elope as he didn't fulfil the demands of the bride's parents. They were all very cheerful about it though!
