Homeward bound (Day 371)

An early start today saw my beautiful wife and I packing all our stuff and giving the cottage a quick clean before taking the dogs for a wander and finally heading for home. The journey isn't particularly far - 215 miles to the ferry - but there are long stretches of winding single track roads which can be very slow. HV drove, and I looked out of the window and navigated. We stopped for a little while at Rogie Falls, where the dogs had a walk and we had a sandwich. Once back on the road we passed long embankments covered in bright yellow gorse. I liked the yellow against the blue and shot a few long exposures for the blur.
We arrived early enough for the ferry that we could have fish and chips in Thurso, and take the dogs a decent wander at Scrabster. The ferry trip was fairly flat and uneventful and didn't seem to bother the dogs.
I have had a wonderful holiday in a beautiful place with my beautiful wife. I am a very lucky boy. Fanks Mrs P I love you. Lots.
