Bronte Blip Meet

What an utterly delightful day I have had. LadyG and I eventually managed to get ourselves into gear and head off for the 1940s day at Haworth. There were hundreds and hundreds of people there and with the wonders of mobile phones...even though the signal was rather touch and go...we managed to meet up with Kathymay and lovelupins17. It was a blippers paradise as every which way you turned there was a photo. 

There were wonderful, wonderful costumes...land girls, armed forces, nurses, evacuees....oh, so many and all so willing to be photographed. Lipsticks, stockings, fur stoles, hats with feathers, medal, spats, bowler hats.........and sunshine!!!! A Spitfire did a fly past, there were parades, there was dancing and music. We had a snackette, we had a cuppa and we walked up and down the cobbled street. We saw steam trains and vintage buses...oh it was fabulous.  

Our legs are aching after the hilly streets of Haworth and we will sleep well tonight. Next year, oh yes, next year we are all going to dress up!!! What a great day......now what can we do tomorrow??
