The Closed Roof

I was up early to do an early morning call to Cardiff and stopped off for a few minutes to get an aerial photograph of The Millennium Stadium. To my delight the roof was closed - a bit of a rare event! The photo shows the river taff running towards Cardiff Bay, and the Bristol Channel, which you can also see in the distance.

The other extra aerial picture is of The River Taff and Cardiff Castle.

Afterwards I visited my sister who was hosting an open house/coffee morning/raffle/craft sale to raise funds for my nephew, Sam, who is off to Kilimanjaro in November in aid of cancer research. He's the one in the extra giving the thumbs up!
