Old & New

The Royal Infirmary moved to Little France area in Edinburgh in 2003. The old RIE was situated in the centre of the city beside the Meadows area hence the plaque about the blossom. Just one of many placed around the hospital. Paying a visit to mum in law today who has been in and out here for the past six months.
The staff here lovely and unfortunately a 33 year old nurse who was just finishing her shift was knocked down close by and killed by a car driven by a young driver who was being pursued by the police. We had just left here 20 minutes before it happened. She leaves a five year old son, truly tragic.
