What sort of Fir tree or Spruce is this!

We went to Brahan Estate this afternoon and came across this Spruce tree with red to maroon small cones! We had not seen this before so wondered what it was. Does anybody know?
We came home by Conon Bridge to get to the A9, this is a photo of the head of the Cromarty Firth looking east out to the Moray Firth. But when we got there we decided to head to Beauly and a Mr Whippy cone Ice Cream . They went down a treat! A lovely day all in all.
