Arches National Park, Utah - Part 2
The natural formations that the wind and rain carve into the red sandstone always amaze me. Notice how tiny the people are in comparison. This picture is of "Delicate Arch"...the iconic image of the park. It's on Utah's license plates in full color.
The first pic in extras is "Balanced Rock" The second is an enormous hole...there are wee-teeny people hiking to it in large. the third is the Weeping Monk with 2 illegal climbers on top. The fourth is a zoom of those guys coming back down before a ranger catches them. The last is another monstrous balanced rock. You can see the softer layer on the pinnacles beside it and how they will become balanced rocks in the next few million years.
