The natives are restless!
Since joining Blipfoto several weeks ago I have posted a number of blips showing blue sky, green hills and beautiful sunsets. About 55 years ago our family would stop off in the park shown in the blip on our way to holiday at Port Stephens. Generally speaking, as society grows and encroaches on natural habitats, the animal population declines. The flying fox which is common to Madagascar, SE Asia and Northern Australia , they are bucking the system. As a native animal of Australia, the species are protected by law. The mining industry which I have mentioned in several blips have cleared a massive amount of native vegetation. You guessed it, some of the areas where flying fox's eat sleep and play. The blip shows the flying fox's have decided to come to town and live in the native habitat of the people of Singleton. If you look up into the centre of the blip, you can see the flying fox's the sky eating, flying and sleeping and playing. There is more than a little irony in this situation.
