Salvage from the Wreckage

Man-hugs and man-bags

Hot hotel room.
Trundled our bags down to Croke Park for the Graduation Ceremony. C was part of the procession so wore Hogwarts fancy dress.
After 15 years at the OU, it was really good to see students graduating. It was a small ceremony - 151 graduates - but a good one with a real sense of pride and achievement amongst the graduates.
Then it was a bus into Dublin and, after getting the keys to our apartment, off on the world-famous DART to Dun Laghoire (or however you spell it (or pronounce it). Sunshine and beaches all the way.
In DL we were met by DL's own Raheny_Eye https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2177927576213786184 and we talked and peered at the pier and talked and piered at the peer from the Forty Foot. He is as funny and charming in real life as he is on Blip. Which is very.

A nice journey back on the DART which was enlivened by two young girls not letting the doors shut whilst they tried to persuade the even younger boy with them to get off the train. The driver threatened them with the Garda (over the tannoy) which terrified the girls so much that, when they finally got the boy to get off, they kept the doors open for another minute while they took selfies.

Now that we have uncovered Dublin's secret (sun capital of the world) we will have to join the conspiracy to protect that secret forever.

So, it rained all day and wasn't permanently sunny and glorious and lovely at all. Honest.
