Fieldworkers of the future

The second day at Leeds, and what a glorious day it was to be out in Middleton Woods on a field trip. This shows some of the keenest students, practicing recording woodland NVC quadrats. Some were very keen indeed and I have high hopes that they will continue to develop their field skills, which are sadly lacking in most British biology and ecology graduates.
