Flower Friday: The First Columbine!

This isn't from my kitchen but it's in the garden near the kitchen....  I was going to blip my African Violets on my kitchen windowsill but when I went out this morning I noticed that my first Columbine of the season had opened.  How could I resist?  By the time I got around to shooting it, though, I had lost the light, which gave me the opportunity to use my new ring flash for the first time.  My sweet daughter surprised me with it on Mother's Day.  I think she reads my mind!  :-)  Thanks, as always, to Anni, BikerBear, for hosting the challenge!
