Eats leaves and flies. Punctuation!!!!#!?
Comma.
Got through some work earlier on and then, having checked the tide charts, we dashed down to the beach. By 11am, the sun was beautifully warm, the beach was empty of everyone but us, the waves were gentle and inviting (not that you'd get me in - it must still be freezing!).
We had a good hour and a half there, in which time Emma met at least three of her school friends who had popped down with their parents. We left as the sea was getting to the point where to stay longer could have meant us wading through it to get to the cliff access. Emma's now creating a fairy garden, complete with foil take-away pond - hopefully while she's in the shade and I am back sort of working at my desk. The thermometer on the window next to me says 30C although it is probably really in the low 20s.
