Fly fishing on the Wye River

M and l are spending the weekend in the Wye Valley in Wales, we are celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. We are staying in an amazing old hall/hotel, a stately home not far from Haye on Wye of literary fame.
After driving across England, along the M4, we drove over the Severn bridge and into Wales and through absolutely delightful little towns with totally unpronounceable names and onto this astonishing time warp called Llangoed Hall. We wandered around the beautiful old walled garden and got lost in the maze and then went for a stroll down to the banks of the Wye river where l spied this angler out fly fishing, a solitary sport, but l imagine very satisfying.
The extra photos are of Llangoed Hall, the site of which was where the first Welsh Parliament was. Latterly it was owned by fabric designer, Laura Ashley.
