Excitement of the day was B finding that the potatoes I'd he'd planted in our his mini raised veg-garden have begun to poke through the compost.

Actually, thinking about it, the real excitement of the day was B finding an old-fashioned sweetie shop in Saltburn when we went over there after my hospital appointment and buying a quarter of chocolate eclairs which he definitely didn't need. I didn't buy anything there although we passed a cake shop on the way back to the car and I might have nipped in quickly.
