Roman Ruin
I do love our regional capital, Évora. We got the early bus there to deal with more bureaucracy - yet another document needed before M has a licence he can drive a Portuguese car with - not that we have one yet...
The countryside was stunning - because of all the rain, it's covered in flowers - whole swathes of purple and yellow, and red, with storks swooping across the wide open spaces.
Spent rest of day being tourists, even writing postcards - in the patio we had lunch in, with a lemon, an olive, a fig and a loquat tree, plus grape vines, and the rain pouring down all around our parasol (or, parachuva, as it was today).
