Waiting
For his bassoon lesson to start.
A day of work sort of in the sunshine. Will's class had an hour where you could go and look at their books. His teacher told me how hardworking, focussed and enthusiastic he had got recently and I exchanged numbers with Rufus's dad in an exchange pre- planned by both boys as a pre cursor to playing at each other's houses.
Now I am sat in the garden with a gin and tonic. Am a little exhausted I think, probably due to my conviction at 1am that there was a flapping bird between the window and the curtain. I sent Jay to investigate what turned out to be a piece of flapping paper. He was very restrained in his mocking of me.
