A feast for the eyes.
As you can see, we went to M & S this morning. to do the food shop. I went to the cheese counter, to see if we could get the Cornish Yarg cheese, that we tried in Cornwall. They had a complete cheese, which I should have blipped and the assistant cut a nice wedge for us. They had lots of nice foodie samples to try today, as they have a promotion on, called, The Spirit of Summer. I cut out a piece from the newspaper yesterday, as they were recommending a red wine from M & S . We couldn't find it, so we asked the assistant, who has given us some good advice on a previous visit. He showed us where it was, but said quietly, it isn't that good. He recommended another red, and said would you like to sample it. J declined, obviously, because he was driving, and I said, I don't normally drink before 6 o' clock. He said, why so late? Anyway I tried it, and was really fruity and smooth. We ended up buying six bottles, as there was 25% off . When the shopping was done, we went to the coffee shop, and had a snack. This afternoon, J cut the lawns, and a friend of ours called, so we sat out the garden and had a coffee. Our evening meal is going to be, sweet potato tagliatelle, with Aberdeen Angus minced beef,in a Napoletana sauce, and a regato cheese piquillo & red pepper bloomer, to mop up the sauce. Am I making your mouth water?
