Storm clouds

I was covering in the chalet kitchen as head chef today (I did warn the guests to make sure they ate well at lunchtime!). I had a few hours off in the afternoon so we went out for lunch with our lovely friend, Rachel, and her wonderful little baby daughter. We managed to have lunch outside while it was still hot and sunny but this was the view as we returned to the car.

Plans for a little walk were abandoned and we decided upon a visit to the one and only charity shop in the valley, in a town called Grobming, which was a real treat. I had been looking at dirndls in Salzburg but they were very expensive. However, the wonderful charity shop had a rack of second hand ones, and I was able to get the entire full-length outfit, including shoes, for 30 Euros! Bargain!! Now I need to organise an Austrian evening at home for friends so I can wear it!
