Touchdown!

Had several herons flying around today -- very nice.   This picture isn't very sharp, but I liked it anyway.  

The osprey was back, several times.  He caught breakfast, lunch, dinner and a late afternoon snack.  I can't seem to stop grabbing the camera when I see him fly by even though I must have a couple hundred pictures of him.  I just can't seem to ignore him.  It's still a bit of a challenge to keep him in my sights, especially when he's looking for his meal but I'm able to recognize when he's going to start his dive just by the way his circles in the air get smaller and smaller.  

I put a picture of the osprey and his ever-present harassing crow in Extras.  I could hear the crow chattering at him, probably not saying anything friendly or complimentary at all.  The osprey is very persistent and for the most part ignores the crow.   I'm surprised the crow doesn't bring some friends along.
