Sailing home
As every journey begins on a ferry, so do they end. As I stood on the deck of the Sound of Soay this afternoon I realised that it was probably the first time I'd ever felt it too hot in this position - after 5pm, the following wind that actually made it cooler on shore meant that on board it felt as if there was no wind at all.
This is the view from halfway across the Firth - the Holy Loch, and the blue hills beyond which feature in all my blips from Benmore and Glen Massan. It could hardly be more different from my surroundings for the past week.
