Sheringham Beach
The lovely weather today meant an opportunity for a walk on the beach in the early evening sun. So I grabbed it! I left work at 4 with just that in mind (plus a sneaky mid week ice cream!) so was pleased to get home at 5.
We had dinner then drove down to a fairly deserted Sheringham. The season for visitors perhaps hasn't quite hit us yet? It was nice walking leisurely and looking in shop windows, before buying an ice cream at our favourite ice cream shop, and heading down to the beach.
When we are feeling fed up with our lot, this is exactly what we need to do. A reminder of how fortunate we are to be so close to the sea.
The high street is decorated with bunting ready for the Crab and Lobster Festival on the weekend of 21st/22nd. That is something that will be celebrated in Cromer and Sheringham.
Home now and Jon has been measuring for the conservatory. It may yet become a reality! We are looking at websites. We will get a diy one....i will make the tea, Jon can put up the conservatory! We have ditched the idea of a dwarf wall as it has been impossible to get quotes from builders, and brick laying is the one thing Jon doesn't have experience in. A steel base should work just as well. I'm really hoping things will go smoothly now. Dan will be home in June so another pair of hands & it should be done by July!
I need an early night. A proper one. I'm going to bed after the Gareth Malone choir thing. I've had 3 short weeks in a row....next week back to normal!
