I took this picture in the museum earlier and stupidly forgot to look at the label so I'm not sure what it is but feel I should know.

Anyway, I had a very good day with an Iron Age lady with painful-looking arthritis. This afternoon my PhD supervisor came along to meet with me and the curator to talk about our project. The upshot of this is he is going to fund some radiocarbon dating of the human remains, which is very exciting! Unlike on Bonekickers (not Hugh Bonneville's finest hour, to be honest) when they got radiocarbon dates back in a matter of hours, these will take the more usual couple of months but, hopefully, they will be worth the wait.
