Busy borders

These hedge bottoms are even busier than an Olympic Border Crossing;
I've left a good metre or so as a buffer zone and refuge for invertebrates, mammals etc. as cutting is carried out over the next month. Whilst it's good to be able to use more of the garden again, I can't help lamenting the loss of the spring meadow with all its vibrancy and freshness. There's always next year...
