Bluebells at Rough Hill Woodland

I had hoped that there might be mist steaming off the ground in the pine tree plantation at Ulverscroft, which would be illuminated by shafts of sunlight between the trees, but there wasn't.

Basil and I therefore found new ground to explore, not far from Old John in Bradgate Park. Rough Hill Woodland is a new extension to the National Forest covering around 70 hectares, and affording some new (to us) views. I've always known the area as Warren Hill.

These bluebells were growing by the track.
