Not the best picture...taken kneeling on the floor, hiding behind an armchair, and screened by plants on the windowsill...but here is a female pheasant on the bird table.  She made a definite 'thonk' landing on the ground as she jumped off.  The male hasn't tried it yet...he seemed to be keeping watch for her.

Extras are detail of her plumage, and thrush singing this morning.
