Primeval

It looks like I am in the densest tropical jungle, but it was only the Botanic Garden, looking towards the Friends' Gate.

Very damp and miserable up the hill, but down on the plains it was actually quite pleasant, you would not reckon how the climate can change in such a short distance.

I went to Diggers' Nursery at the garden to get my Goji twigs plants, and I happened to buy a few hellebores at the same time.  I got chatting to the lady behind the counter (as you do) and ended up walking out with two  free plants.
