The Kirking

Such a privilege to be able to accompany two of our young volunteers to attend the formal Kirking Service of the new Scottish Parliament at St Giles Cathedral this evening.

Attended by HRH Prince Charles, plus all MSPs, representatives of cross sector organisations and multi-faith groups, it was a packed house, with over 600 guests. It was a wonderful service - all faiths and none represented beautifully and some really powerful inputs about the responsibility of serving the people wisely and with compassion. My favourite quote was about "turning the love of power into the power of love."

Abbie and Ian had a ball - managing to meet all the guests on their wishlist, including HRH!
