Walking the canal

Someone who has worked for the irrigation district for 35 years told me that I could ignore the "Do Not Trespass" signs and walk on the canal for as long as I want. The DNT signs are apparently just there for liability purposes. Today, I walked nearly to Rock Island! I love walking up at the Canal because one is higher than the road and you can see a lot.
