Damn It!

This morning I was riding to work and came to this intersection. As I made a left, I unfortunately saw the oil on the road too late. It wasn't raining but the road was wet and the oil sat right on top. My bike slid out from me and I went down on my left leg. Luckily I was moving slow and because it was so slick it was fairly graceful.

The whole damn intersection was an oil slick. There was also a path of it for about 3 blocks then turned right and continued. I think a trash truck picked up something with oil and it leaked out as the truck drove, creating a damn Exxon Valdez worthy mess on the road. I walked away with a little embarrassment and a small raspberry but all in all not bad at all. A few people around made sure I was ok. Must have been pretty funny looking.
