Green woodpecker

Life seems very busy just now, so I'm not keeping up with comments very well - I will catch up, but it may take me a few days. Apologies to anyone that I miss.
Unexpectedly free this afternoon, a walk in the sunshine up the southern side of Corstorphine Hill was accompanied by lots of birdsong and calls. Lots of green woodpecker calls led me to a sighting of this individual.
