falls
Slept well after the race and were treated to a breakfast of bacon and potato scones by daughter. Then it was time to pack up and depart, they went to visit my mum, we went for a short walk through some very pleasant woods to loosen the legs.
It started over this bridge which we'd run over twice the day before and has survived the floods (unlike the one at the other end of the village which is eaten away from underneath), then went over a couple of fields with good views across to Reston Scar and returned via a lane with bluebells.
There's a good bakery in Staveley that also does teas so a pause there for refreshments before heading home, avoiding the motorways as much as possible. Even time to dry out the tent and sort out the washing once we were back
