Seahorse domino box

This is not my photograph but one taken by Andy Gregory, he, along with a select few contributed to a small book dedicated to Jacob Matheson and his remarkable work - it's from the exhibition I was keen to see earlier in the week ; this is just one small piece, but so beautiful . I wish I could share all his pieces here for all to see ! One friend writes : " Spanning five decades, his work includes lamps made with sea glass, inlaid plates, furniture in wood and metals, multi coloured wire baskets and jewellery."

And of the domino box : "It's outer surface was clad in ivory panels, each of which was held in place by tiny ebony dowels. Inside was a set of small-scale, white faced and black backed dominoes; these were equally considered and again a combination of ivory and ebony. The seahorse clasps are hinged at the tail and the lid is held in place with the tips of the snouts."
The materials come from keys of an old piano.
Just fabulous.
