Peruan Woven Textiles

While in Peru, three years ago we stopped at an Inca textile
Museum.  There were Inca Indian ladies weaving on the
grounds.  It was a fantastic sight to see.  In the museum
gift shop, I found this marvelous woven tapastry in a very
colorful display.  The background black was hand woven
and then the colorful bird design were "embroidered" birds on
the surface of the black square.  Peru is a poor country, but some of
the indigenous population earn their living by doing artistic
endeavors.  I was pleased to see that!
