Osprey With Fighter Escort

Although, based on all the noise they were making, I think it was less an escort than harassment, or "mobbing".  One crow isn't going to scare off an osprey but it could certainly make dinner annoying.  The osprey stayed cool and made numerous passes but never dove for a fish so he may have decided to wait until the crow wore out.  There was quite a racket going on among the Canada geese too.  Lots of splashing, honking and general unrest.  Don't know what that was all about.  I may need to go on another bird walk with our local experts to ask a few questions about bird behavior.  

p.s. He came back about an hour later and got his fish.
