Shake a leg!

So Edinburgh's Jazz & Blues Festival kicked off this weekend with the traditional Mardis Gras in the Grassmarket. The weather was pretty good and the crowds came out. With lots of bands playing outside and the bars allowing take away drinks (in plastic "glasses") the Grassmarket was packed, which does not make for easy photography. You can either fight and claw your way to the front and use a wide angle lense or use a longer lens and try to take images over/between peoples heads, either way makes it difficult to get decent shots. I managed to get a few decent shots and then concentrated on enjoying the atmosphere and music with a few beers.
