Brownies
So many different things I could have blipped today from a male and female Bullfinch feeding on Dandelion seeds to the first Tortoise shell butterfly on the Plum blossom but it had to be one of the Gods eyes/ Ojo de Dios , a 'yarn weaving and a spiritual object used as a celebration or blessing in New Mexico made by one of the Brownies. Lot of wonderful history and what each coloured yard can be found here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/God%27s_eye.
We used sticks to form cross and then the girls choose which yarn to weave round the little frame work. It was quite difficult to begin with but they soon got into the swing of things and produced some amazing pieces of art.
It was such a a nice evening so we held the session outside in the park. I had made some sticky strips and the girls explored the park filling up their strips with things they could find from leaves, feathers to Party popper streamers that had been left behind after a party.
A quick play on the equipment before and after and then it was time to go home.
