The Briery Ilkley

My mum often went on a retreat with her friends here. She loved the place and especially the walk to the Grove looking in the charity shops for a bargain. Today is her 10th anniversary and it just so happened I was meeting my friend Breeda for lunch so I had to stop and take a photo of this place in her memory. I remember coming here with her old people's club in the early 80's, I have a photo of me somewhere standing in front of the statue of the Sacred Heart, looking dreadful with a tight perm. I even remember stopping at The Coronation (it's houses now) for our Tea!!!
Breeda and I had a lovely catch up, lunch, walk round the shops then tea and cake. Glad I took this photo before the rain came.
