As if last week's horrible shooting in Colorado wasn't enough to remind us that the world we live in is full of horrible people, today the Guardian informs us that the rich and powerful have hidden so much of their money from taxation that they're destroying the economies of the very countries that made them rich.

"The problem here is that the assets of these countries are held by a small number of wealthy individuals while the debts are shouldered by the ordinary people of these countries through their governments," the report says."

It reminds me of the story about the homeless guy who was sentenced to 15 years for stealing $100, while the CEO of a mortgage lender stole $3 billion and gets 3 years.

Why aren't enough people angry about this.
