A view from Jeanneb

Magical

I was up at 6.15am and so was the sun. The 8.00am news and weather said the best weather today would be in Scotland and it certainly has been.

This picture was taken at 4.45pm at 'our' beach. You might just be able to see a kite flying. There was a family flying it with three children all of whom were naked (the children that is) having a whale of a time and this in the northern highlands!

We have enjoyed all our travels but this place is special and it is great to be back.

This morning we did a walk around a headland between Polglass and Achiltilbuie, not far from here. Passing a Broch and several derelict crofts and then following the coast there were views of the Summer Isles all the way and lots of sheep with young lambs. (Too many pictures to chose) The walk ended at the Piping School cafe, perfect timing for a coffee. After we went into the Achiltibuie Artists at the community centre. Always lovely things in there Last year I met a fellow blipper there, Woolyheaded and she suggested the walk for our next visit. Not having heard from here for a long time I enquired after her. Sadly I was told she had died suddenly of a brain tumour last year.

Somehow this made being here even more precious you really do have to make the most of every minute.

My extra is the kind of road block you can expect around here.

Charging my iPad is very slow here so sorry no commenting.
