The second half of life..

Mum's boxes

Packing up mum's house was tough, (though we did have quite a few laughs together doing it.)  Still, the realisation that being at mum's, going to mum's or staying at mum's could never be again was hard.  That was back in February after a very difficult few weeks.  Then the packers came and some of mum's precious (and not so precious) belongings were boxed up and taken away to be shipped to my home on the other side of the world.

I've tracked their journey every day for the past 10 or so weeks and finally, this afternoon, they arrived in Auckland.  Not long now until they come home to me.

Terrible picture I know, but today feels like the story and the almost re-connection is far more important than the image.
