Farleigh hungerford

Lush day of amazing sun - not a cloud in the sky. Went to swim in the river, very nice indeed, though the cycle there was a little bit of a strain - not only is it one of the hardest places to get to without going on minging A roads, but the footpath I had to take from Iford was about a foot deep in mud and water in places!

Met up with Abby and Phoebe at the river, and they had bought brie and bread which made all the difference. Mother Abby even treated us to an ice cream when the truck came round. Luckily I was able to get a lift back as far as Limply Stoke, thus avoiding A roads and muddy paths, with just a nice few miles of canal towpath to guide me home.

Back to watch the highlights of the Tour De France - what a great day! Though I'm in agreement with earthdreamer when it comes to the national anthem...

Watched Seven Pounds, staring Will Smith tonight, though dubbed in Spanish.. quite an odd experience. Dubbing takes a lot out of a film - I think even if I didn't speak English, I'd rather see it in English with Spanish subs. Odd. It's be like watching The Killing dubbed in English, would take half the atmosphere out of it!
